KVM for Factory Automation needs USB upstream device to attach PC in order to manage PC through Ethernet LAN. The BE-601R85 allows you to send keyboard and/or mouse data to a PC emulating HID using an RS-485 interface. The mouse emulation supports Relative and Absolute coordinates.

• Emulates both mouse and keyboard.
• Mouse emulation includes movement and button presses.
• Flexible baud rate and serial data parameters.
• Translates ASCII - Accepts printable ASCII and encoded ASCII Hex and maps the ASCII to the correct key codes.
• Accepts DOS Scan Codes - You can send DOS scan codes which the BE-601R85 will interpret into the correct key codes.
• No Power Supply Needed - Runs off of the 5 volt power from the USB connection of the computer.
• Boot without a Keyboard - Allows your system to boot without a keyboard plugged into it.
• Autoexec Strings - The BE-601R85 can detect when a PC has "booted" and send an initialization string to the computer.
• Power-up Strings - The BE-601R85 can detect when a power cycling has occurred, and initialize itself to the proper mode.
• Re-map ASCII characters - Re-map ASCII characters coming from the serial port. This can ease the job of integrating a serial device onto the keyboard port.
• Disable commands - This allows protection against data accidentally being recognized as commands.
